Team NP is a team made by pro player and living legend Jacky 'EternalEnvy' Mao. Chairman Mao gathered players who for the last few years (except Aui who has done it for a year) or so have mostly been floating around in t2-t3 NA teams. These teams often qualified for LAN's but finished dead last, and rosters were never stable.

They have qualified for the Boston Major, 1st seed from NA! They dropped only 2 games in this qualification (one of which was the infamous solo rosh death).

Their roles and players are as follows :
    1. Aui2000
    2. EE-sama
    3. MSS
    4. SVG
    5. 1437

Imo they have looked pretty good, with MSS actually being the stand out individual performer, Aui has also picked up his game as carry since his failure at it in EG. Their playstyle is very reminiscent of the succesful Cloud 9, and C9 fans everywhere can root for them.

The most important factor however for this team is they are very 'watchable', most of EE's teams provide some of the most entertaining and watchable DotA games on a consistent basis and is why I am a fan of them (as if I watch DotA it's to be entertained).

I totally agree. Watchable, nice games, but i fail to see their championship potential. For mee they are one of the candidates for "12-16th".

You mean this team is worse than C9 before?

They definitely arent top 6 or anything material YET. But I think with time and teamwork they can improve to that by next Ti (if they stick together).

Imo they can get top 8 this event but would have to be lucky on opponent they face. Keep in mind its single elim so basically 8 teams will be technically last place (not factoring in group standings).

Have to see their group stage performance against international teams before I judge. So far they have vsed T2 EU teams and come out even with ping disadvantage

Big fan. Almost all games are exciting (remnants of C9 late game comeback or some the C9 throws). Doesn't look formidable yet like the top 6 teams tho. Also they currently have a very predictable drafting and playstyle.

2 asians, 2 indians, and a jewish guy. At least they'll win the most diverse team award.

They just got invited to the Montreal tournament, the one they lost the GF qualifiers to against FDL 3-2.

I really want to cheer for them, but it's almost certain that EE or MSS will choke and do some stupid shit.

Every game is a coin toss, it's frustating. Not surprise if they get eliminated from the major on the first game

NP seem to do very well recently.

They picked Mirana in first game against Wings; will Shadow take them?

And he did! Wings were TI winners for reason.
Don't taunt fate like that, EE.

So that's, what, 3 top-tier teams envy has created? NTH, Kaipi/Speed, NP?

NP had a good run, you can definitely see the improvement between their first and second series against Wings. Seems like Wings can't really be touched right now, but they are definitely looking vulnerable after those Grand Finals games.

NP and Wings are soon to have quite the rivalry. I predict that they will both be top 2 in the world after the boston major.
