Should I cast fireblast or unrefined-fireblast first?

    please consider some realistic cases:
    1. when ogre has small mana (almost 0) and small mana regen, but with soul ring
    2. when ogre has good mana regen w/o soul ring,
    3. when ogre has good mana pool w/o regen or soul ring.
    desired results: more casts or more frequent cast of stuns,regardless of dmg

    wil prolly make spreaD sheet for this sometime.

    The Advanced mechanics section is for asking questions about complex interactions in the game, not about strategies. Any questions about strategy should go to Meta-Game discussion.

    But, I'll answer your question anyway: Unrefined Fireblast is based on your current mana, and therefore casting another spell first will always cause your Unrefined to cost less mana.

    However, if the cooldown is a consideration, then it might be worthwhile to cast your Unrefined First. Because if you get a multicast, the stun could be 2.5 seconds, or longer. When that stun ends, chain into regular Fireblast, and then when that stun ends your Unrefined will be closer to being off cooldown than your regular would have been, which could potentially let you stun for longer.

    So the answer is:
    If mana is a priority, always regular first.
    If stun duration is a priority, and you have more than 260 mana (because 260-(260*0.6)=104 mana, enough for a regular Fireblast w/ any regen whatsoever), always Unrefined first because it has a shorter cooldown and if you get lucky with a multicast, it will let you chain stun better.
