Hello, just wanting to ask 2 quick question
    • what buffs/debuffs stack with the help of refresher orb? none of it? or does it have some exception?
    • Does 2x Macropyre damage stack?

    thanks

A lot of things in Dota 2 works like this: Successive casts of X on the same target do not stack, only the debuff gets refreshed.

What I don't know is if 2 macropyres from 2 different players do affect the same (enemy) target like you say.

tried using lobby game, macropyre does stack, effectifely doubling the damage. as for debuffs and buffs, i still doesnt have too clear ideas for the exceptions, since i think there's some

Depends on if it's done by an aura, since heroes can only be affected by one of them.
For others it's just arbitrary if a buff stacks or refreshes.

Macropyre does not place a buff, it simply creates a timer that deals damage periodically to every unit in the AoE. So if you have two Macropyres, each one will do that independently. It's the same as having two Firestorms, two Midnight Pulses, etc. There are only a few examples of spells that do not stack this way, Shrapnel being the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

Buffs and debuffs from a single source very rarely stack unless they explicitly say so. Thus, for instance, Decay obviously stacks, as do Viscous Nasal Goo, Quill Spray, Sticky Napalm, Melting Strike, Geostrike, and a few others.

Some of these don't really stack in any meaningful way. For instance, multiple Chronospheres don't stack (the buff is purely cosmetic and the most recently applied overrides), they just don't interfere with each other. In some cases it's just not accurate. For instance, the slows from multiple Earth Splitters do not stack.

Yeah, I just put them there because they don't cancel previous casts like mirror image. I edited it & put a note about it.

E: Actually, it might be confusing for other people, maybe I should delete that part?

Probably. I might remove Chakra Magic too, since only the mana restore "stacks" (you could similarly argue that Shadow Wave stacks).

does that mean it include manta, phantasm, dople ganger, and all others (except for conjure image)? I consider them all mirror image, but technically its the name for naga ability only

also did you bring back the deleted part?

There was nothing in the pre-edited post about mirror images.
Eebster was talking about spells that do not stack but can have multiple instances active, like Chronosphere.

Mirror Image is a Blademaster ability from WC3. Basically, 'splitting' illusion spells with invul time & de/buff removal are based on it, Conjure Image doesn't have any of that. I can't say about Doppelganger because it was made in DotA 2, it wasn't copied from WC3 DotA.

Doppelganger is based on Wand of Illusion.
