Very old but very good idea

Special model for each item(when you drop it on the ground)

    No freaking boxes anymore!

It still surprises me how 1. Valve has a ton of items show up as a box. 2. DotA is the only MOBA that allows item dropping/sharing.

Further - if you walk over a dropped broadsword you take damage. If you walk on sphere shaped items you slip and slide. Also, items dropped on ramps will roll down because of gravity. Items dropped in river will float randomly.

We already have something similar. If you eat a banana, you will leave a banana peel enemies can slip on.

I think personally that atleast items that are often dropped like tranquils should get a model. Boots have it, quelling has it. Sure it can affect balance a bit, but something like this just makes the game aesthetically more pleasing imo.

    Meh-

It would have been a good pastime for Valve's DotA 2 team since they basically did nothing for a whole while. Why not.
